Ferre was launched in 2005. It is meant for a sophisticated woman who is luminous and elegant, full of life and a certain joie de vivre. Iris is this fragrances spirit, the flower exemplifies the artists muse; it is a representation of a somber noble beauty. It begins with a gush of bergamot and exotic fruit (pineapple and melon) that merge with an iris-leaf accord. The heart is arranged in a floral cacophony with notes of ylang-ylang harmonizing with stylish magnolia and freesia along with jasmine, rose and violet. Iris is (again) evident in the base, but as iris root concentrate which is this flowers most fragrant part. The base notes are basmati rice, sandalwood, amber, vanilla and musk.
