Love this fragrance, my everyday. Spicy, but reserved; fragrant, yet never cloying; heady, but won't knock out your companion. This is sipping cocktails looking out on the Mediterranean in full sunshine but dappled with breezes bringing scents of white flowers and orange. The Elixir is a more intense offering, the regular Merveilles is summer light. The fragrance lasts forever on my skin (light blonde complexion). It starts out woody, with top notes of vetiver, Oak and Cedar, but they stay wrapped around spicy notes of Ambergris and the base notes of Lemon, tangerine/Orange, Elemi, Pink Peppercorns. In my mind, that decadent ambergris and tangerine with a hint of wood is what remains, fresh, but lingering. Every time I wear it people ask what fragrance I'm wearing. Elegant and alluring! This is my signature scent. No other cologne work for me like this one. Others tend to give me a headache. This scent will last all day and I'm constantly asked especially by women what I'm wearing. The toilette is more softer and tends to fade but the parfume, will last all day! | 5 |
